AlphaFold, and its recent successes in predicting protein structures in a blind competition called CASP. 

The new deep-learning method AlphaFold, from Google in the UK, has generated some buzz in the news a few months ago.  We in the Laufer Center were asked to give a talk on what it is, how well it did, and what it means for modeling proteins going forward.

Roy Nassar, who works on protein structure prediction, and Ken Dill will give a zoom talk on the subject.
